Anna is a Melbourne Orthopaedic Surgeon who completed her undergraduate training at Melbourne’s Monash University in 1999 and completed her training in Orthopaedic surgery in 2011.
Anna deals with general paediatric and adult orthopaedic cases. She operates on Shoulders, Elbows, Wrists, Hips and Foot & Ankle. She also does joint replacement surgery.
She has public hospital appointment at the Northern Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. She also works privately at Northpark Private Hospital and the Epworth Hospital.
Anna is currently undertaking a Master of Public Health via Flinders University in Melbourne to complement her intense interest in research. She has previously been involved in projects that examine the role of computer devices in paediatric physiotherapy and is currently part of a number of research projects at Melbourne’s Northern and Western hospitals.
Her special interests include Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery (particularly developmental dysplasia of the hip) and Third World Orthopaedics. Anna does work via outreach projects, as an annual commitment.
She also has a keen interest in education, being a medical student tutor for the University of Melbourne, and being involved in GP and Emergency Physician education. She is a co-editor of the Orthofracs website which is designed for Orthopaedic registrar training, and is involved with IMG (International Medical Graduate) education with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Anna is a first line assessor for the Victorian Audit of Surgical Mortality (VASM) and takes an active role in hospital as well as personal auditing of her cases.
